Booking and pricing
How do I schedule an appointment?
Choose a service and a time on the online booking page. You will see open times and get a confirmation right away. You can also call (734) 717-4649 to book by phone.
What affects the final price?
Vehicle size, condition, and the services or add-ons you choose. The booking page shows current starting prices for each service.
Can I book more than one vehicle?
Yes. Book each vehicle on the booking page, or call to plan the time needed for several vehicles on the same day.
Can I call or email instead of booking online?
Yes. Call (734) 717-4649 or email evan@summit-detailing.com with your vehicle, location and the service you need. More options are on the contact page.
Who will detail my vehicle?
Evan, the owner. Summit is owner-operated, so the person you talk to when you book is the person who works on your vehicle, with nine years of hands-on detailing experience. Read more about Summit.

What happens on appointment day
Do you bring your own equipment and water?
Yes. Summit arrives with its own truck and trailer, plus the water and equipment needed for the selected service, so you do not need to provide a water hookup.
Where can my appointment be completed?
In a safe, open area with room for the truck and detailing trailer, such as your driveway. If space is limited, contact Summit before booking.
Can you detail my vehicle at work?
In most cases, yes, as long as there is room for the truck and trailer and your workplace allows it.
Which areas do you serve?
Summit is based in Ypsilanti and travels across Washtenaw County, Western Wayne County, Oakland County and Livingston County. See all service areas.
What should I do before you arrive?
Remove personal items when possible and make sure the vehicle is accessible.

What is the difference between paint correction and a ceramic coating?
Paint correction is machine polishing that reduces swirls and haze and brings back gloss. A ceramic coating is a protective layer applied after the paint is prepared, to help protect that finish.
What is included in a Signature Full Detail?
A complete interior and exterior reset: a detailed exterior hand wash, wheels and tires, a thorough interior vacuum, steam and compressed-air cleaning, leather cleaning and conditioning, and a final inspection. See the Signature Full Detail page.
Do you clean engine bays and restore headlights?
Yes. Engine bay detailing and headlight restoration are available as add-ons.
Can you help with odors and stained carpets?
Yes. Carpet extraction and odor treatment are available as add-ons for stains and lingering, difficult odors.
Do you remove pet hair?
Yes. Pet hair removal is available as an add-on, with extra time and specialty tools.

How often should I get my vehicle detailed?
It depends on how you use your vehicle. Many drivers book seasonally, especially before and after Michigan winters. Our guide on how often to detail your car in Michigan covers it in more detail.
Is a sealant the same as a ceramic coating?
Both protect your paint. A clay and sealant service is a protective upgrade on its own, while a ceramic coating is designed for longer-term protection.
How do I care for my vehicle after a coating?
Wash it by hand with a gentle car shampoo, avoid automatic brush washes, and dry it with a clean microfiber towel. Ask Evan at the end of your appointment about anything specific to your vehicle.
Choosing the right detail for your vehicle
If your vehicle needs a complete reset inside and out, the Signature Full Detail is the best place to start. If the cabin is the priority, an Interior Detail focuses on seats, carpets, vents and hard surfaces. For paint that looks dull or swirled, Paint Correction restores gloss, and a Ceramic Coating helps protect the result.
